Eggcellent ideas

It's Easter, so obviously our thoughts turned to eggs - it's amazing what you can do with different mixes...

 For the large egg an almost zero slump standard grey cement mix was used, with no compaction or vibration, which leads to the fantastic crater type surface.

Then Mia dipped string into a high slump cement mix made with all fines. The wet string was wrapped around polystyrene eggs and left to set before the polystyrene was dissolved out of the middle.

And finally our 'dinosaur' egg was created by carefully applying a medium slump all fines cement mix to a polystyrene former before again dissolving the polystyrene out.
